• Player evaluations will take place in late September-early October.
  • Team selection and practices will begin in early November.
  • Teams will be coached by parents of players, or outside coaches. All coaches will complete the training program put forth by STB and the High School programs.
  • Teams will practice 2 nights a week. Practices will be in Scarborough and could be out of town if added practice time is needed. Practices typically will not start any earlier than 6pm and could run as late as 9pm. Practices will be 1.5- 2 hours in length.
  • Teams may participate in the Falmouth or Saco leagues.
  • Games will be played on Saturdays and/or Sundays. Games will start in early December and conclude in early February. Games will be played in local gyms in the southern Maine area; typically Falmouth or Saco, but could vary.
  • Players are supplied a game jersey and practice jersey to be returned at season’s end. Failure to return will result in having to pay to replace items.
  • Team selection will be based on numbers and gym time considerations. We strive to not have cuts at this level but will need to evaluate this on a yearly basis depending on gym time, coaches and resources available.

  • Teams will be limited to no more than 11 players. Cuts will be made to maintain that number. Cuts could also be made if less than 11 players tryout and the players evaluation is not up to the standard for program participation. All players cut are invited to a meeting with program coordinators to discuss areas to work on to improve their chances for future teams.

  • Teams will participate in the Cape Elizabeth Travel League. The league keeps score, standings and concludes with a playoff and championship.
  • Games will be played on Saturday and/or Sunday. Games could be both days and there could be multiple games in a day. Games start in early November and the regular season commences in late January. Playoffs run in February and could go as late as the second week in March, depending on team success. Games will be played in the southern Maine area. In the past we have played in the communities of Gorham, Westbrook, Portland, Cape Elizabeth, Cumberland, Brunswick to name a few.
  • Players are supplied a game jersey and practice jersey, practice jerseys will be returned at the end of the year, failure to do so will result in an additional replacement charge
